Jackson Hill Telemark (JHT)
At the Jackson Hill Telemark (JHT) campus, bikers, snowshoers, and cross-country skiers are challenged with a variety of trails overlooking the vast wilderness of the Adirondack Mountains. The trails range from intermediate to advanced and accommodate different skill levels.
Activities Include: Biking, Hiking, Snowshoeing, & Cross-country Skiing
BREIA maintains JHT and provides the public with free, year-round access to the trails and free, winter use of the warming hut.
Driving Directions –8284 Jackson Hill Road, Boonville, NY 13309
From North:
Follow Route 26 South, which eventually becomes Route 12D South. Continue on Route 12D South to the village of Boonville, where Route 12D becomes Post Street (Route 46 South). Continue 1.1 miles on Route 46 South and turn right onto Jackson Hill Road. Proceed 2.4 miles to the JHT – Telemark campus. The entrance will be on the left side of the road.
Alternate Directions from North:
Follow Route 12 South to Boonville. Turn right onto Schuyler Street. Continue on Schuyler Street for 0.3 miles, staying to the left of the gazebo/flagpole. Turn left at the traffic light onto Post Street (Route 46 South). Continue 1.1 miles and turn right onto Jackson Hill Road. Proceed 2.4 miles to the JHT – Telemark campus. The entrance will be on the left side of the road.
From South (Utica and points east):
Follow Route 12 North to Boonville. Turn left onto Schuyler Street (it will be the first left after passing Erwin Park). Continue on Schuyler Street for 0.3 miles, staying to the left of the gazebo/flagpole. Turn left at the traffic light onto Post Street (Route 46 South). Continue 1.1 miles and turn right onto Jackson Hill Road. Proceed 2.4 miles to the JHT – Telemark campus. The entrance will be on the left side of the road.
From South (Rome and points west):
Follow Route 46 North. Pass Pixley Falls State Park and continue 5.1 miles on Route 46 North. Turn left onto Jackson Hill Road. Proceed 2.4 miles to the JHT – Telemark campus. The entrance will be on the left side of the road.
Alternate Directions from South (Rome and points west):
Follow Route 26 North. Turn right onto Route 294 East. Continue for 6.8 miles to the village of Boonville. Turn right onto Post Street (Route 46 North). Continue 1.1 miles and turn right onto Jackson Hill Road. Proceed 2.4 miles to the JHT – Telemark campus. The entrance will be on the left side of the road.
Note: JHT – Jackson Hill Telemark is 1.6 miles before the JHS – Jackson Hill Sunfield campus, which is on the right side of the road.
